Carbonless copy paper is a tool for copying documents, which is convenient for copying documents by handwriting, and is also commonly used in dot-matrix printers. Co-invented by chemists Lowell Schleicher and Barry Green, it has become an alternative to carbon copying paper due to its advantages of biodegradability and no pollution to the use environment.
The Defination of the NCR paper
Carbonless copy paper is a kind of leuco copy paper, which has the functions of direct copying and direct-color development. Its color development is mainly: under the action of external force, the force-sensitive pigment and oil solution in the microcapsule overflow and contact with the color developer to cause a dyeing reaction, thereby playing the role of copying. It is mainly used for multiple forms, bills, continuous financial-notes, general-business financial-notes, etc.
The category
Carbonless copy paper can be divided into roll paper (rools) and flat paper (sheets) according to specifications. The width of roll paper can be from 160mm to 1940mm, and the size of flat paper can be from 420mm*530mm to 1420mm*1420mm.
The feature of the NCR paper
lNo need to pad when copying "Carbon paper", direct writing is convenient and time-saving, the number of copies is 2-6 pages, and the electric-printing is 2-10 pages, which can greatly improve work efficiency and meet the needs of modernization.
lThe handwriting of the copy is clear, bright, and does not fade, which can prevent alteration and counterfeiting.
lDo not contaminate fingers, clothing and other stationery paper, keep it clean.
lAvailable in a variety of colors for easy identification and handling.
lThe paper quality is excellent, the surface is smooth and smooth, stronger than 28g colored paper, not easy to be damaged, and the printing color is bright.
lIt does not contain harmful raw materials and odors, is safe and reliable, and the pictures and texts after color development can be stored for more than 15 years.
The theory of the NCR paper working
There are two types of coatings in carbonless copy paper: a CF layer containing a chromogenic agent and a CB layer containing a chromogenic agent. The chromogenic agent is a special colorless dye that has been dissolved in non-volatile carrier oil and encapsulated by microcapsule of 3-7 μm. The impact pressure of forceful writing and printing can crush the microcapsule, allowing the colorless dye solution to flow out and contact the color developer, and a chemical reaction course to present|actors to present|curis to present|accord to present colored graphics, thereby achieving the purpose of copying. Carbonless copy paper is divided into 45g/m2CB paper, 47g/m2CF paper and 52g/m2CFB paper according to the quantity; according to the color of the paper, there are five types: red, yellow, green, blue, and white; according to the color-traces, there are blue, Yellow, orange, black, red and other colors.
The application of Carbonless paper
Carbonless copy paper is mostly used on documents. The existing formal documents with legal effect such as invoices, contracts and treaties have all used carbonless copy paper. Traditional receipts are just ordinary paper, so it is necessary to add a carbon layer under the receipt. The carbonless copy paper is bound with special paper.
As far as triplet carbonless copy paper receipts are concerned, they can be divided into upper paper, middle paper, and lower paper. Upper paper is also called back-coated paper (code name CB, that is, Coated Back), the back of the paper is coated with microcapsule containing Limin pigment oil; middle paper is also called front and back double coated paper (code name CFB, that is, Coated Front and Back), The front side of the paper is coated with the color developer, and the back is coated with microcapsules containing Limin pigment oil; the lower paper is also called surface-coated paper (code name CF, that is, Coated Front), and the paper surface is only coated with color developer. Self-coloring paper (codenamed SC, Self-Contained) is coated with a microcapsule layer containing Limin pigment oil on the back of the paper, and coated with a color developer and microcapsule containing Limin pigment oil on the front.
The upper paper and the lower paper do not have the copying-effect, only the middle paper has the copying effect. When using documents printed on carbonless paper, there is generally a small piece of cardboard placed on the form, so as to avoid excessive writing-force and cause other forms placed below to be copied.
There are roughly 4 colors of carbonless paper; the four colors of white/red/blue/green play a role in distinguishing the form.
