The transmission system and tension control system are important factors in the mechanical engineering design of coating machines.
Blade knife type, also named as scraper coating is generally used in paperboard machines, and the transmission characteristics of the wet and net parts of the coated paperboard machine are similar to those of cultural paper machines. In the drying section, although the thickness and strength of the paper sheet increase, due to the large number of drying cylinders in the drying section and their own weight, the self resistance torque and paper sheet tension torque generally still account for the main part. So before entering the coating machine, the load at each transmission point is mainly the frictional resistance moment, which can be considered as the front and rear stages.
The transmission effect of tension between them can be ignored.
However, when entering the coating machine, the ratio between tension torque and frictional resistance torque changes all the way to the coiling or cutting machine section. This is because the transmission points from the coating machine onwards are mainly loaded with small diameters of a single roller, and their frictional resistance torque is much smaller compared to the dry and wet parts. During this stage of transportation, the paper mainly undergoes surface treatment. So it has high tensile strength, and the process requirements also require the paper to be tensioned to ensure processing quality. This leads to the transmission and coupling problems of tension being manifested in this section.
People habitually believe that tension depends on the speed difference, which is not accurate enough. In fact, it is necessary to keep the speed ratio constant to maintain tension, and if the speed difference remains constant, tension is also related to the size of the speed. This is the difference between speed ratio and speed difference in tension analysis.
In the modern manufacturing industry, tension control systems have become one of the common foundations of multiple industries, including the coating industry. Especially in precision coating industries such as packaging and printing, high-precision tension control systems have become a supporting key technology to ensure coating effectiveness.
The coating machine for packaging and printing mainly consists of a discharge unit, a storage unit, a coating unit, a composite unit, and a receiving unit. The tension control system includes a feeding unit, a feeding and storage rack, a glue coating unit, a receiving and storage rack, and a receiving department. Operators must understand the method of stabilizing the tension of the coating machine in order to ensure stability and accuracy during the coating process.
The coating machine produced by QINGDAO JIERUIXIN MACHINERY AND TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD has a passive feeding system composed of magnetic powder, tension controller, and tension detection sensor. The technology of the discharge unit is very mature, and the tension can always be stable.
During the feeding process, due to the continuous reduction of the winding diameter, the feeding swing roller will continuously participate in tension control, which is mainly achieved by the PLC controller. The PLC controller can calculate the winding diameter and control the corresponding motor to continuously accelerate to maintain stable tension.
